As part of our Fair Trade Geography Week, it was extremely important to test out some Fair Trade chocolate in the form of a chocolate fountain! Today, everyone took part in the Race For Life, raising money for charity. As you can see, it was loads of fun... In maths, Mrs V's group have been looking at the maths of FRACTALS - patterns that continue for infinity!
We had a go at creating Sierpinski Triangles, first individually and then combining them as a class! PS Mrs V has been singing that line from 'Let it Go' all week! On Friday, Year Six explored Grove Wood as part of the Edward Francis Orienteering Day. We had to use our navigation skills to locate twenty one points around the wood in one hour. Continuing our studies of David Hockney, Year Six, having noticed how Hockney likes to break up his pictures into parts, have collaborated in groups of three when trying to recreate one of Hockney's pictures. Here are the results : This term we are studying the work of the artist David Hockney and using his art to inspire some of our own. Here are some examples of portraits we created using his Joiner pictures as an inspiration. We spent some time together today, thinking about different ways people can be bullied and the impact this might have on individuals. |
